Full Crib CD Release Party 2011

Full Crib

That's right! The replay has been uploaded for those of you who missed it. Give it a listen here: Full Crib CD Release Party

Big news from Camp Crib....our debut album entitled "Better Days" has finally been released. It has only taken us nearly 30 years, but it was worth the wait.

The album has been mixed and mastered by the one and only Kephas, who has done an unbelievable job. We would like to sincerely thank all of you for the listens, radio plays, and comments from everyone on IMW...this is truly a unique and special community of musicians that we are proud to be a part of.

Full Crib = just a couple of middle-aged headbangers stuck in the 80's tryin' to keep the music that moves our souls alive and kickin.

Thanks for stoppin' by The Crib

FireWolfe Interview 2011

FireWolfe

Metal the way it ought to be.

In the beginning:
“We should do a band project together.”

Being friends and mutual fans of each other’s music and guitar playing, a new band was formed out of a conversation Nick Layton and Paul Kleff had in early 2010. The two shared many guitar and musical influences and immediately started to lay the groundwork and musical vision for a new band.

Without having a full band put together yet, Paul and Nick began writing music together for the yet unnamed band. Heavy, melodic and powerful music with an emphasis on great songs with killer guitars was the plan. The ultimate goal was to have a band that made the kind of music that they would want to listen to and an album that they would want to buy.

As the writing progressed, the focus shifted to finding the right voice for the music. A heavy, melodic and powerful voice that would not only fit the style of music that was being created, but would also be able to take the rough songs and turn them into world-class melodic metal.

One name kept coming up over and over again—veteran rock/metal vocalist David Fefolt.

Some phone calls were made, rough tracks were sent over, and David was immediately on board as the voice and front man of the band—“I think between us we could make something really special out of this.”

The FireWolfe was born.

New Site Features

We are in the development process and will be adding some new features to Indie Music Works. While the largest impact will be felt by the artists at Indie Music Works we feel that this will put IMW one step closer to being a well-rounded Indie artist site.

We can't give out specific details of the new features at the moment it shouldn't be long before the features are in place and working. We'll keep everyone in the loop as things develop.

New DJ's?

Microphone

Indie Music Works is working with a Broadcasting School and soon DJ's will be doing shows here at IMW in order to sharpen their skills.

We're excited about this venture and have been working on this for over a year and are pleased with the outcome.

We ask everyone to continue to support the radio shows here at IMW and please check out some of the new DJ's that will be here for short periods of time.

As always invite a friend to the site and help to spread the word about Indie Music Works.

Articles

We've been looking for quite some time for someone who might be interested in writing some site articles.

If you think this is something you would enjoy please contact one of the IMW Team members to let us know.

We are looking for any articles about IMW or Indie music in general. If you have something of interest that you would like to have included in a newsletter then please let us know!

Thanks,

~ The IMW Team ~
