I've been playing guitar since I was about 15 and didn't really take it very serious for a long time. I was in a couple of bands when I was younger that never really went anywhere though it was fun.

In my mid 20's I ran live club sound for a couple of bands in the Tampa area and enjoyed that though the hours were long and the pay was terrible but I did it mostly because I loved it.

In my mid 30's I bought a recording studio in the Tampa area and owned it for a little over a year. It was quite a learning experience and I learned a lot from the engineer I had hired to work during the day while I was doing my day job. I thought it would be a piece of cake going from live sound to a studio environment, boy was I wrong.

The studio proved to be very unforgiving sound wise. Many of the things I could get away with running live sound I couldn't even try in the studio. My day engineer had graduated from Full Sail productions in Orlando Florida and he helped to shorten the learning curve for me.

My day job relocated and I was forced to sell off the studio and moved to Georgia. I wasn't involved with any music for several years then things settled down for me and I started to play again. By this time home recording on a computer was possible with pretty good audio quality.

I was part of a "internet band" for about 3 1/2 years and the last year or more I have had the privilege to work with Rylie. He did the drums tracks on the most of the recent music that I've been a part of.

I now am fortunate enough to collaborate with some very talented folks. I've made some of the best friends with individuals from all over the world.

This site and folks here make every bit of my internet experience in music worth being here. Providing a site that is about music is the focus.

Hi Walt, It must have been a great buzz owning the studio (even with any headaches that came with it). My brother-in-law owned one for a short while in Liverpool,UK (circa 1975) and it was an exciting time as I recall. Once again, many thanks for the warm welcome to this great site! pete
