Artist Bio
I was born a poor black child....not really, but I am a jerk.

While you could never tell by hearing me play, I've been playing around with the guitar off and on for over 30 years. Mostly off, actually. I bore easily, and hearing myself play the same thing over and over a few dozen times, I tend to give up. No sense in learning anything new if it doesn't come easily, I always say.

I played drums in high school (all 2 1/2 years that I showed up), and had a kit for awhile...and when I didn't become Ginger Baker without trying to, I gave that up too.

A few years ago when my last kid moved out on her own (I still give her a lot of money for some reason), I turned our large bonus room above the garage into my music room, bought a drum set, and started to get involved with people on the internet (no,not like that). I met FloridaMusic on another site when the owner of that site found me on a drummer site where they mostly discuss things like head tension, kick mics, my-kits-better-than-yours, paradiddles, flams, and reading music (yeah, right..llike that's important).

I collaborated with Florida and several other folks on that site for almost 2 years and learned what little I know about recording and collaborating via the web.

For reasons known to many, I was cordially asked to leave that site (actually, I was banned) and it's turned out to be a good move for me. The site had turned into a mutual admiration society with a heavy emphasis on the discussion of one particular member's daily health maladies, science fiction trivia, and pop culture sycophants.

So, Floridamusic and StrongTom got together and invited me home. Here I am.

Luckily your sense of humor is still intact, and that's what counts. And you haven't given up. I'm glad you're here. Peace, Jim
